Country Road
Sunset drive on a country road
What a great way to take off a load
From a busy week chasing deadlines
And trying to stay current with the times.
I’ve got the windows rolled down
And I’m headed out of town
To hear the bugle of the elk bull
Until my heart is so full
Watching the sunset on the horizon
Makes me feel that we are meant to be one
Going on this country road drive
There’s no better way to feel quite so alive
The breeze whipping at my hair
My nose filling with pine and fresh air
I am blessed without a doubt
Can’t imagine being without
A country road drive
To remind me that I’m truly alive.
